We'll make a concession: Almost any of our competitors can build the same buildings we build. Many of our clients, with time, could also manage to build their facilities without our assistance. But our company's product isn't buildings. Our product is management. And what sets us apart from the other builders is our discipline and commitment to our time-tested management processes.

As you look across the skyline and see buildings of different purpose, its evident that a whole lot of builders know what they're doing. But successful construction management shouldn't be defined by a structure, but by the process of building it.

We know concrete better than anyone else--a fact that's backed solidy by the number of awards for Excellence in Concrete, earned over 53 years.. The product of footings and foundations, we have a deep passion for flawless concrete in the building process. But our mastery of concrete placement is not why we're hired again and again. We're hired because of our our deep understanding of issues which matter most to owners: Things like foresight, open-style of communication, purchasing power, integrity, and experience.

Owners want value. Their value is probably a mixture of three things:

Aggressive Schedule: Their building will be operational quickly, allowing them to continue in their business.

Fair Cost : The cost of their constructing their building will be at or below a fair market price.

Predictability: Owners have their own business to run. The last thing they want to do is worry about delayed construction schedules, permitting issues, or the cost of steel. For them, it's okay if the process of building takes seven months. As long as it doesn't take seven months and one day.

Good management addresses each of these issues. Great management embraces them.

Owners consistently select Layton Construction for our proven management abilities, and the value we add to their project. Yes, our buildings look like our competitors' projects. But it's the process of getting that building in place that lifts us to a whole different level. That process is The Layton Way.
