Layton Makes Bank … Literally
Contractor ‘branches’ out with two new Zions Bank projects in Idaho
AMMON & NAMPA, ID ( Feb. 16, 2006) – Layton Construction Company broke ground recently on two new Zions Bank branches stretching across southern Idaho. The new branch locations are in Ammon, just south of Idaho Falls in the southeastern corner of the state, and Nampa, located in the southwest part of Idaho near Boise.
Crews broke ground on the 8,492-square-foot Nampa branch in November 2005 and construction is anticipated to be completed in 2006. The Ammon branch groundbreaking was held Jan. 25, 2006, with an expected completion of the 4,704-square-foot facility at the end of 2006.
The new branches will serve the growing needs of these regions well. Zions Bank is the seventh largest bank in Idaho by deposits and was recently ranked the top U.S. Small Business Administration lender in southern and eastern Idaho for the fourth consecutive year. The two new branches will be added to the 22 full-service Zions branches already operating in Idaho and nearly 200 ATMs Zions operates throughout Idaho and neighboring state Utah.
With construction underway in the dead of winter, the project team will face several challenges, namely frozen ground and cold weather. The Layton team has much experience dealing with winter construction and will take all necessary precautions to maintain safety while ensuring that the projects are completed on schedule.
This is the third project on which Layton Construction and Zions Bank have teamed. Layton completed a branch in Moab, Utah in February 2005.
