Layton has practiced partnering to establish greater cooperation and teamwork through all aspects of a project from design through completion. We have found that through partnering, all team members are able to communicate their concerns and expectations, to establish channels for resolving issues and to build strong relationships of trust. We feel that the strong relationships that result from partnering are essential to a project's success.
Layton has long been the champion of the partnering concept. In addition to our clients and design team, we also esteem our subcontractors and suppliers as our partners. Together, as stakeholders in the project, our success is defined collectively rather than individually.
As our partnering concept would dictate, we only solicit the involvement of subcontractors and suppliers who embrace these principles. Upon receiving prequalification information, Layton evaluates the information in terms of present workload, available resources, past performance and commitment to the project. Cost proposals are then solicited from the approved list of subcontractors/suppliers.
Our philosophy of partnering and teamwork free us from the entanglements of litigation, the negative emotional aspects of dissension and the inefficiency and confusion that often results from a lack of communication.
Partnering at Layton is not a buzz word, it is a value. Partnering is used on all Layton projects and has been the key to our success. Layton recognizes that satisfaction is only equal to expectations minus performance. To truly understand someone's expectations you must remove all barriers and develop this partnership.
