One Sandy Center is a professional office building with two medical tenants. Layton not only constructed the core and shell, but also performed the tenant finish work for the South Towne Surgical Center and the HealthSouth Diagnostic Center.

The South Towne Surgical Center includes four orthopedic operating rooms and two end suites with laser surgery capabilities. The surgical center is equipped with a contingent of medical gases and steam generated autoclaves and washers. The HealthSouth office includes physical therapy, radiology diagnostics and MRI facilities.

The offices are a unique cooperative effort to provide full-service outpatient care for diagnostics and surgery. The office environment was chosen because it was considered to be less threatening to patients.
