Impressed with Layton’s work on their manufacturing and warehouse expansion in 1998, Nature’s Sunshine again looked to Layton for their construction needs.
This time, using the design-build delivery process, Layton performed an interior build-out of the shell we constructed in 1998.

Throughout construction, production in the facility remained uninterrupted-- a priority for Nature’s Sunshine. Shutdowns of production were coordinated with the owner, usually taking place on weekends. All work in occupied spaces was coordinated closely with the owner and employees.

The facility was designed and constructed to meet pharmaceutical standards. The finish levels were designed to allow for complete wash-down. Extreme care was taken to eliminate any horizontal surfaces that could harbor dust and/or allow for bacteria production.

The entire facility had to be built adjacent to the existing facility with connections in two locations, so coordination was necessary to accommodate the owner’s needs and the construction schedule.
