Mercy Medical Center outgrew their existing facility and wanted a new facility that would improve the standard of care for patients and the working environment of employees. The hospital also aspires to become a regional provider and newer technology in a pleasant environment will help them accomplish this.

This 80-bed replacement hospital, set on a 60 acre site, is able to accommodate 100% expansion for the future and is the first development in a master plan area of 900+ acres. The facility is a three-story building that blends into hillside ground with smaller support buildings on the same campus.

The use of green space was an integral portion of the project, utilizing much of the surrounding beauty and natural space surrounding the site. The building was designed using the LEED certificate score card as a reference for addressing several environmental issues.
