The Kennecott Combined Laboratory is used for process and environmental testing. Equipment installed includes a dust collection system, chillers, a boiler, fume hoods, scrubbers and melting furnaces.

Layton piped seven different gas and water lines throughout the facility for use in each lab.

Challenges included a very short construction schedule and very tight budget. Layton saved the client money by utilizing value engineering throughout the project.
