The existing Jordan Valley Surgical Center was not adequate to meet the surgical demands of the south valley population. This expansion provided the hospital with a much-needed three additional OR rooms, two Gastroenterology (GI) Labs and 6,500 ft2 of new physical therapy space including a state-of-the-art physical therapy pool.

The GI labs and the three ORs were built with integrated, digital imagery communication. The surgery and physical therapy departments were located next to each other to help patient transition from operation to rehabilitation.
This project is a main level TI build-out of an existing structure with working tenants on the second, third and fourth floors. Night work and weekend activities were coordinated into the schedule to help keep the project “unknown and quiet.”

The entire project was completed on schedule with minimal disruptions. The Jordan Valley Surgical Center serves as another example of Layton’s extensive experience working in operating healthcare facilities.
