Long time client for life, Jordan Valley Medical Center and IASIS Healthcare have once again contracted with Layton Construction for their latest project. The Jordan Valley Medical Center is located in West Jordan—one of the Salt Lake Valley’s largest and fastest growing communities.

The phase II expansion will add more than 100,000 ft2 to the hospital as well as renovate existing hospital service areas and enable future growth. The three level structure will feature 93 new patient beds, physicians’ penthouse, new laboratory, two new operating suites as well as expanded diagnostic imaging and emergency departments.

The new facility is a moment frame structure, meaning there are no diagonal braces and the 90 degree steel connections will withstand a moment force such as lateral winds or earthquake forces.
