School construction has been part of Layton’s history from the beginning in 1953. Layton has completed over 100 school contracts ranging from elementary schools to high-tech university research facilities--and everything in between.

Layton understands the complexities of school construction. Whether it is an elementary school located in a residential area or a university building on an active campus, our project teams have the experience and skills to mitigate the challenges associated with this type of undertaking.

Layton uses a collaborative approach to school construction. Recognizing that construction financing is often a concern, Layton works with the owner and architect from the design phase through project completion and beyond, and uses value engineering to deliver the project within budget, saving private owners and taxpayers millions.
