Population growth in the Farmington area prompted the Davis School District to construct a new elementary school, which was completed for the 2003-2004 school year. The school district wanted a facility that incorporated the latest materials, technology and layout for the best learning environment.
The elementary school uses glass, brick and structural steel to create open style classrooms with skylights and windows, which provide natural light and help with the learning environment. The school is designed with individual wings to be occupied by multiple grades.
Layton created a sequencing schedule that kept subcontractors on schedule and within budget during construction. The project was completed early. |
