IASIS Healthcare contracted with Layton to convert an existing file storage area in the Davis Hospital and Medical Center to a state of the art MRI suite. Layton’s scope of work included creating radio frequency shielding in the new MRI area and remodeling the surround space as a suite.

In addition to the MRI scanner room (featuring one General Electric 1.5T SIGNA MRI EXCITE), Layton’s build-out included an equipment room, control room and a patient dressing room. Layton also constructed a larger view room, which accommodates four viewing and dictation stations.

The hospital remained fully functional throughout construction. Layton phased work to accommodate the hospital’s film readers.

Layton completed this fast track project in 62 calendar days.
