The Central Plant provides power, heating and cooling to the Cottonwood campus and has been built to accommodate future growth as needed.

The building has fire tube boilers that use natural gas, an emergency diesel generator, new water softeners, two 500-ton York Chillers, a Derator Tank and other medical utilities. In addition, Layton constructed a 600-ft. underground utility tunnel extending below the parking lot and under the fully operational hospital.
