Consonus designs, builds and operates Data Centers, IT networks and web-enabled application delivery systems. When they experienced a fire suppression failure at the Consonus South Data Center, Layton worked with them to rebuild the building’s damaged interior.

During the reconstruction, Consonus’ data storage facility had to remain operational, making cleanliness and security a top priority to protect the sensitive materials and equipment. To accommodate these needs, Layton built scaffolding and a new fire suppression system around the functioning equipment. Negative pressurization, 24-hour-a-day particulate monitoring and four levels of containment were also used to further ensure equipment protection during the reconstruction.

After successfully completing the rebuild, Layton was again contracted by Consonus to install a new ventilation system for proper exit of intergen gas in their West Data Center.
